Benefits for the whole family

This family rented a NeurOptimal Dynamical Neurofeedback system allowing them to utilize it with all of the members of their family and see the benefits for everyone.

We originally rented the system for our 9.5 yr old son. He is a very smart kid who has a hard time letting things go, has really explosive outbursts, relaxing in general is hard for him, he has issues over-thinking and worrying about every little situation. His behavior had a large effect on our day to day family life. We have tried BrainBeat, talk therapy, books and countless on-line programs before giving NeurOptimal a whirl. Since we rented it we were able to have everyone in our family try it, we also did it on my 7 yr old daughter, myself (43 yr old female) and my husband (42 yr old male). My daughter is a very emotional kid and is easily upset (crying) by little things, I was hoping for more relaxation and my husband just wanted to try it out, he's the most balanced of us all!

We saw some pretty great changes with my son after about 2 weeks (approx 10 sessions in). He was not nearly as reactive as he was prior to NeurOptimal. He no longer argued about taking a shower, or needing to get off his tablet, or when it was time to go to bed-literately he would just say-ok. The explosive outbursts also diminished greatly, it was previously at least once or twice a week and since doing NeurOptimal for 2 months (about 45 sessions) has virtually gone to one or so a month. He can now have a conversation without getting so defensive or needing to be right all the time. We also noticed that he was sleeping better and has become a more open and wanting to try new foods (previously a very picky eater!). The same with our daughter, she was not so quick to react and she also had better sleep. She also was just in general more relaxed after a session. I myself noticed a pretty extreme relaxation during and after a session and I feel it allowed me to be a more relaxed in the moment parent. My husband said it was relaxing and he slept better. My son just told me the other day to rent it again because he was feeling anxious.
